OUR EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Learning a single word can sometimes be the key that opens a door.

For LEAP, education is not just a matter of a school or a classroom — it’s a door quietly hidden inside everyday life, one that can open the way forward for someone. We support access to formal and non-formal education for children and young people in both refugee and host communities, and we work across eight provinces of Türkiye to keep the language barrier from becoming a social one.

Our Approach

We don’t define access to education simply as attending school. Sometimes a child can only join a lesson once their family has crossed the language barrier first; sometimes a young person can only build a profession once they’ve learned to trust themselves. That’s why we’ve designed our education programs to bring access to formal education, non-formal education, out-of-classroom workshops, and digital skills together under one roof. Our programs for children and young people aged 5–25 are flexible by design — built so that there’s a starting point for every age and every language level.
