Young people already know what they want;
our job is to open the space where they can bring it to life.
LEAP’s youth work is built on a tiered model, one in which young people are not passive beneficiaries but the designers and implementers of the process itself. We work with young people aged 12–25 from both refugee and host communities, in the areas of peer leadership, the arts, capacity building, and civic participation.
Our Approach
At the heart of our youth work is a “tiered model”: we first select and train young peer leaders, and then invite them to take on active roles in awareness, life skills, and community participation projects. In this way, a youth program stops being an outside intervention and becomes a movement that young people multiply within their own neighborhoods. Safe, inclusive spaces where dreaming is welcome — for us, these are the non-negotiables of any youth program.
