Another Turkish Language Class Has Been Completed

RET has been providing Turkish and English language classes to increase access of the participants in the public sphere and bridge the language divides in Ankara, Mardin, Samsun, and Şanlıurfa as part of the project “Turkish and English Language Learning Program as a Tool for Empowerment and Social Cohesion.” Fifteen refugees in Şanlıurfa have completed the 2-month intensive Turkish language program and graduated. Congratulations!​​​​​​

The Turkish Language program for refugees aims to empower participants and promote social cohesion among the refugee and host communities:

  • It increases the language skills of refugees and facilitates communication;
  • It enables the refugees to communicate efficiently, thus, promoting faster integration; 
  • Through increasing the language skills of refugees, it helps them to access services without the need for any interpreter support.
