RET International in Turkiye has embarked on another journey in Aksaray, Kayseri, Çorum, and Samsun, launching a comprehensive three-year project generously funded by the United States Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (BPRM). With a focus on increasing the resilience of vulnerable refugee communities and the host community members, this initiative signals a significant step towards fostering lasting positive change in the region. The project plans to provide psycho-social support, Turkish language classes, awareness-raising sessions on social cohesion, GBV and sexual and reproductive health, capacity-building trainings, and advisory services that aim to link local human resources with the labor market.
The project’s official commencement was marked by an online kick-off meeting, where the newly recruited project staff came face-to-face with RET’s dedicated team already on the ground in Türkiye. This synergy of expertise and commitment set the stage for a promising collaboration aimed at addressing the pressing needs of vulnerable populations.
During the kick-off meeting, the project’s objectives, targets, and meticulously planned activities were unveiled to all participants. This crucial step ensures that all RET members are well-informed and aligned with the project’s vision, laying a solid foundation for the comprehensive efforts that will follow.
