The project aimed to improve the wellbeing of vulnerable adolescents and youth refugees affected by the Syrian crisis through access to learning and capacity-building opportunities. The project built the targeted beneficiaries’ information and communications technology skills in a way that is conducive to improve;
- Their self-esteem,
- Learning prospects,
- Reducing the socio-educational inequalities,
- Improving their income generation prospects.
The project provided computer training in two different localities in Şanlıurfa and Mardin, using fully equipped computer labs. The training was based on Microsoft’s Digital Skills Resources for Refugees, with learning modules and topics focusing on using the computer and the Internet safely and effectively and using Microsoft Office, digital literacy, digital art, and the use of Microsoft’s employability digital kit. The project contributed to the use of technology to bridge the digital gaps for both the host and refugee communities in Türkiye.
This project, implemented between October 2018 and May 2019, was funded by Microsoft and implemented in Türkiye.
