The women-led social enterprise “Leap Natural” was part of the “New Year Shopping Fest & Fun” event in Ankara, Turkiye organized by the “Creative Women Shopping Festival and Social Responsibility Project.”
The Leap women’s cooperative was born as a result of RET’s Women’s Socio-Economic Empowerment (WSEE) Programs in partnership with LEAP Turkiye. Currently, it produces over 350 natural, handmade and eco-friendly products, including personal care and hygiene products, locally produced food products, block-printed textile products, and natural dolls under the Leap Natural brand with 110 women from the host and refugee communities working in the different ateliers.
This year, the “Creative Women Shopping Festival and Social Responsibility Project” which has been organized since 2013, was held in Ankara on the 17th and 18th of December. More than 100 participating women artisans and entrepreneurs joined the event.
