LEAP Türkiye responded swiftly to the devastating earthquake on February 6th, providing vital in-kind and psychosocial support to minimize the impact of the disaster on affected communities. LEAP’s project in Çorum aims to increase resilience and foster peaceful coexistence. In Gaziantep, the team conducted creative drama activities for children affected by the earthquake, including play, music, and dancing.

With over 1.9 million people displaced by the earthquakes, Çorum has become a host city for both refugee and host communities. Thanks to the support from the EU and the German government, LEAP team in Çorum is supporting earthquake victims, focusing on children’s access to education, health, safe accommodation, food, and activating social support mechanisms.
