Recently, in Kayseri, we inaugurated the first community center for the multi-year project “Integrated Approach to Increase Resilience in Underserved Communities” project. This work has been funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau for Population, Refugees and Migration (BPRM) and implemented in Çorum, Aksaray, Kayseri, and Samsun by RET International.
The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (BPRM), alongside esteemed delegates from the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, public institutions, and dedicated RET staff members, joined the inauguration and learned about humanitarian services available at the community center.
Aiming to ensure social cohesion among refugees and host community members, at the heart of the “An Integrated Approach to Increase Resilience in Underserved Communities” project lies a commitment to provide protection and psychosocial services through community centers. Through capacity-building trainings, we’re bolstering protection mechanisms, while also nurturing pathways for local human resources to thrive in the labor market.
Following the opening ceremony in Kayseri, RET inaugurated the project’s other community centers that are in Aksaray, Samsun, and Çorum with the participation of the local public authorities, non-governmental organizations, and program participants.
