As part of the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development 2022 | The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), RET Germany, in partnership with LEAP Türkiye & Leap Natural social enterprise, organized a webinar entitled “Why Comprehensive Approaches Within Women’s Socio-Economic Empowerment Programmes Are Key For Collective Sustainable Development: Leap Women’s Co-Operative And Leap Natural Social Enterprise Example From Türkiye”. The event was held on the 6th of April 2022 between 8:30-9:45 (CET).
Through their multi-faceted and innovative approach to climate change, gender equality, social cohesion and socio-economic welfare in the face of COVID-19, Leap Women’s Co-Operative and Leap Natural social entreprise founded by Syrian, Iraqi, Afghan and Turkish women as a result of RET Germany’s Women’s Socio-Economic Empowerment Programme implemented in Türkiye offer a holistic and state-of-the-art humanitarian programme and business model for vulnerable communities in crisis contexts. The thematic focus of the webinar centered on SDG.5 and SDG.15 in the light of best practices and lessons learned via Leap Women’s Co-Operative and Leap Natural social entreprise.
